A special feature of local architecture are the “mantomata”, the stone
frames on the doors and the windows of the houses, which are usually
painted in gray or ocher. The stones are carved, while mud is used as a
cohesive mortar.
Ιδιαίτερο χαρακτηριστικό της ντόπιας αρχιτεκτονικής είναι τα “μαντώματα”,
τα πέτρινα πλαίσια στις πόρτες και τα παράθυρα των σπιτιών, που συνήθως
είναι βαμμένα σε γκρι ή ώχρα. Οι πέτρες λαξεύονται, ενώ χρησιμοποιείται
λάσπη ως συνεκτικό κονίαμα.
