LOOKING BACK AT 2018 Mike Rassmann 2 018 has been a great year. We have been lucky to have three very big projects in the office, including the interiors on each, which has always been our goal - to work on projects all the way from the ground up through to the interior fit-out. It's been a landmark year in that sense. For 2019 we have one big project on the cards, as well as moving our office to Parkwood in January which will be a big change as we have been in Edenglen for eight years. The one thing I have realised this year is that any project - and anything in life for that matter - can be planned to a point, but at some point, things will change. Managing those changes is the key to success. Alessio Lacovig T his year was challenging! It was definitely a year of growth and I think it's been our best year in terms of stability. The challenges came both technically and in terms of business decisions, implementing systems to deal with staff, software and just the overall workload. We put in lots and lots of hours! Yet in retrospect there were many positives. In 2019 we want to continue growing the company and certainly not do less work than we did this year, and we are positive that this will happen. I heard a saying recently; 'Hope is not a strategy.' You need to make things happen, so I think that's the push for next year and we have already started that. Time will tell! Kuba Granicki F or the business, 2018 was a prosperous year ,but we had to alter our mindset and our direction of work. 2018 had a lot of challenges in the way in which we had to restructure certain things in the company. The packets of work we are looking for are harder and harder to find, however. 2018, in summary, was better than all the other years, but harder in some ways than all the previous years. In 2019 our aim is to secure ourselves in the developer footprint going forward. There's an opportunity to play alongside some of the biggest players in the country, and I definitely think AOJ has a shot, and deserves to be there.
