B
EKA Schréder, a proudly South
African lighting manufacturer, is
honoured to have been awarded the
task of illuminating this aquatic facility as a
preferred lighting solutions provider.
We are also proud to be associated with

providing and implementing a successful

lighting solution for this magnificent
project, which required a lighting solution
where ease of maintenance and access to
the luminaires were a prime criteria. This
was successfully achieved whilst providing
the correct lighting levels and taking into
account a solution that would suit this
environment aesthetically. The robust
BEKAMAX floodlight range mounted on
specially manufactured brackets was used
for this purpose.
Yet as a leading lighting solutions provider
and a responsible company, it is a priority
for us to aim and continue to minimize our
ecological footprint. At the forefront of the
major driving force for the switch to LED
lighting, BEKA Schréder is firmly committed
to offering lighting solutions that drastically
reduce energy consumption.
By combining the best of LED technology
with a wide range of control systems, our
solutions offer huge energy savings of up to
85% and drastically reduce the payback time
on new installations. We are committed to
tomorrow by remaining sustainable today.
We believe that this ethos is shared by
many of our clients. We are confident this
philosophy will dictate the specification of
lighting solutions from hereon.
As an example, we can currently offer
an LED solution on this sport application
that would save more than 25% energy
compared to the existing solution by
replacing the existing luminaires with our
new and highly efficient OMNIstar modular
LED floodlight range. Another consideration
is the long term maintenance reduction by
using LED technology, and the possibility
of light controls would mean further
energy savings.
