EDEN VIEW, SEYCHELLES Eden View is located on the east coast of the main island, Mahé in Seychelles. It is the next phase of Eden Island and from an architectural and urban design point of view, a natural extension and completion of the scheme. Initiated in May 2018, this USD 42 million residential and commercial development’s expected completion is April 2022. The professional team involved in the successful development of Eden Island also lead the design, construction and fit-out of Eden View. Additional site-specific geotechnical studies were conducted, and material stability risk management is of utmost significance. Certainly, a complex yet rewarding construction environment. Aesthetically, the architectural language is similar to Eden Island, which follows a critical regionalist approach, which can be likened to Contemporary Creole Architecture. Logistically, the isolated geographic locality of the Seychelles and limited manufacturing industry makes the importation of construction materials a deciding factor in many cost and design-related decisions. The goal is to create an architecture that is rooted in both modernism and the characteristics of its geographical and cultural architectural landscape. This dynamic approach to architecture must negotiate contemporary global trends, new technological advances, and the local language of architecture in the context of the building. The various 94 Waterfront apartments enjoy splendid ocean and marina views, whilst the 52 Garden apartments relish in lush Seychelles foliage backdrops. The diversity of 1,000m 2 retail space, 1,400m 2 commercial marine services and multiple residential units, simultaneously aligns with current investor trends and enhance the sustainability of the unique vernacular of the Creole culture and market feasibility. Emerging global economic adaptability, e-commerce growth and an upsurge in remote working, demand purposely built developments such as Eden View that offer superior lifestyle choices beyond traditional multiuse environment parameters. Equally appealing to investors, owners, and international tourists.
