BUILDING TELEMETRY SYSTEM USES THE LATEST TECHNOLOGY
TO MONITOR WIDE VARIETY OF BUILDING SYSTEMS.
The advent of micro-computing, cloud storage and AI has allowed millions of sensors to
permeate our lives, measuring and storing every miniscule change in temperature, pressure,
humidity, location, Watt of energy and drop of water, amongst other things. As a company,
The bleedingEdge has tapped into and expanded onto this cloud of data, resulting in higher
efficiencies, lower costs, productive people, ease of access, cleaner environments and
more responsible management.
Fast Installation Times
The bleedingEdge Building Telemetry System (BTS) was developed as a replacement to legacy
Building Management Systems (BMS). Using a secured dedicated Wi-Fi IP network, their
teams can install and configure the BTS in a fraction of the time of traditional wired BMS.
Where a BMS that would have taken 6 months to install in a 10,000m 2 building, it can
now be done in less than 2 weeks. Because of the wireless architecture of the system,
it can also easily be retrofitted to existing buildings without disruption to the operation of
the building.
Compatible with Existing Systems
The Building Telemetry System reads and
stores data, provides control of devices on
your network, and can be used in conjunction
with existing automation servers, like
Schneider, Tridium etc. The BTS is highly
scalable to accommodate any size project
from home automation to corporate offices.
The bleedingEdge Field Equipment Station
(Wi-Fi enabled protocol converter) converts the information from any BACnet or Modbus
enabled devices that can then be communicated to either an Automation Server on site
or to the bleedingEdge Cloud servers, using open standardised protocols and services.
Remote Access and Monitoring
The system allows for intuitive access via apps on tablets and smart phones. Users can control
and monitor equipment such as air conditioning units, lifts, generators, UPS installations
and monitor fire and security systems. The system continually interrogates the operating
conditions and not only report faults but also provides alerts if equipment does not operate
within its design parameters.
The system monitors and archives all the building’s data and can compile all the readings
from the electrical and water consumption meters to enable remote billing. Numerous third
party systems like switching of lights, access control via licence plate or facial recognition etc.
