It has been a pleasure to have a respite from the long periods of load shedding we experienced over the last few months . Although many companies and developers have been forced to make enormous capital investments in off-grid energy solutions , I believe that these outlays will be beneficial in the long run .

One of my favourite decision making processes I undertake as Editor is choosing the cover for each issue . As I never make our cover available for advertising , I am free to choose the best image from across the featured projects for that issue . Sometimes there is one clear image that is particularly striking , which makes the decision easy . On other occasions there are a number of images under consideration , making the decision harder . The choice will always be that image that is most visually striking on the cover and encapsulates the project it represents . High quality imagery has always been a top priority for the magazine and it is important to ensure that our featured projects are visually represented at their best .
