Appointed to develop a complete core concept and Estate brand roll-out , Rumour Has It ensured that the new brand DNA was threaded through the entire establishment and its comprehensive wine experience .
The Brief The brief from the client was to create a Clubhouse feel with a relaxed atmosphere , yet reflecting understated elegance - almost like walking into someone ’ s lounge . Whilst modernising the original building , including new builds , the authenticity of the original structure had to be celebrated , which required a skilful transformation of the entire space .
Concept The team based the new design concept on a contemporary farmhouse style , incorporating a local botanical theme from the Helderberg area and wine leaf design from the oldest Cabernet Sauvignon block on the Winery . The quest was to find unique elements to portray and celebrate a multisensory experience . The phrase ‘ Big in nature , gentle in character ’ reflects in both the architecture and interior .
These elements formed an integral part of the new estate brand experience and were cleverly integrated across all parts of the interior fit-out and new estate brand experience , including Marketing & MD ’ s offices , wine-tasting areas , farm-to-table restaurant , boutique fermentation and barrel cellar , libraries , Chef ’ s Table , and private winemaker ’ s
