hansgrohe: Rethinking The Washbasin
The Avalegra AquaUnit combines basin and mixer in an intuitive design that transforms everyday interaction with water.
For decades, the washbasin and mixer have been treated as separate elements within bathroom design. With Avalegra, hansgrohe challenges this convention by combining both components in a single, integrated AquaUnit that reimagines how water is experienced.
More than simply a new basin or tap, Avalegra represents an entirely new product category. Designed to create a more intuitive and enjoyable interaction with water, the innovative AquaUnit brings together familiar functions and unexpected design features in one harmonious solution.
A New Water Experience The most striking innovation lies in the way water is delivered. Alongside a slim, elegant swivel spout that provides a classic waterfall stream, Avalegra incorporates an integrated shower spray within the centre of the control unit. Water gently arches upwards in a parabolic flow, creating a distinctive sensory experience that transforms everyday routines such as handwashing, facial cleansing and personal care.
Carefully engineered with sustainability in mind, the integrated shower function includes a pressure limiter that restricts water consumption to five litres per minute, supporting responsible water use without compromising comfort.
Contemporary Minimalism Architecturally, Avalegra embodies contemporary minimalism. All operating elements are seamlessly incorporated into a single, refined control unit, creating a clean aesthetic that reduces visual clutter while enhancing functionality. The matt white Solid Surface basin complements the sleek control element, offering a durable, scratch-resistant and non-porous surface that is hygienic and easy to maintain.
Finishes for Individual Spaces To support increasingly personalised bathroom design, the control unit is available in a selection of sophisticated FinishPlus finishes, including Brushed Black Chrome, Brushed Bronze, Matt Black, Chrome and Polished Gold Optic. These finishes allow designers and homeowners to create distinctive spaces that reflect individual preferences while coordinating effortlessly with broader bathroom schemes.
With Avalegra, hansgrohe demonstrates how innovation can elevate both form and function, transforming the washbasin from a practical necessity into a considered design feature that offers a completely new way of experiencing water. www. hansgrohe. co. za
