The Bryanston Country Club Racquets facility demonstrates how the instant space solution xPod can be successfully integrated into a multifaceted architectural solution. Existing conventional structures are seamlessly connected to an enhanced xPod component through a central elevated roof and shared viewing space, creating a cohesive and unified destination for racquet sports.
The result is a fast-tracked facility that delivers a layered user experience and a strong sense of place. While xPod serves as the enabling methodology, it does not operate in isolation. Rather, it complements and enhances the broader architectural vision.
The new facility provides generous covered outdoor areas anchored by strategically positioned food and beverage offerings. A pro shop, reception area and co-working spaces are located at opposite ends of the central hub, ensuring both functionality and user convenience.
xPod is an eco-friendly, go-anywhere instant space solution. It is both a rapid construction system and a design and engineering philosophy focused on achieving the optimal balance between modularity, prefabrication and mobility without unnecessarily reinventing conventional building methods. Drawing inspiration from traditional Terrazzo, renowned for its rich history and enduring appeal, this latest innovation reflects a growing resurgence in demand for tactile, character-driven surfaces.
Crafted from a curated blend of marble chips and a cementitious binder, Cemcrete’ s Terrazzo delivers a durable, low-maintenance finish with a distinctly refined aesthetic. The surface offers subtle variation and visual texture, bringing depth to residential and commercial interiors. Terrazzo is available in 10 shades inspired by the wine estates of South Africa, with bespoke colours available on request.
At 8-13mm thick, its slim profile makes it equally suited to new builds and renovation projects, allowing a high-end finish without the need for extensive structural adjustments.
