This Page: Figo, the hotel’ s rooftop restaurant
the restaurant references iconic Cape Town establishments such as Venezia, Mario’ s and La Perla while reinterpreting their atmosphere through a contemporary lens.
Materiality plays a central role in shaping the space. Terrazzo flooring, Italian marble mosaic, burled walnut surfaces and brass detailing create a layered interior that feels both refined and nostalgic. Original Thonet Cesca chairs and custom lighting introduce warmth and character, balancing sophistication with a sense of familiarity. Large openings and outdoor seating connect the restaurant directly to Sea Point’ s pedestrian energy, while softer lighting and reflective surfaces create a more intimate atmosphere after dark.
Importantly, Arlecchino’ s does not function as a standalone venue but as an extension of Dolce Vita’ s broader architectural identity. Like the development itself, the restaurant reinterprets Mediterranean coastal glamour in a way that feels rooted in Cape Town’ s evolving urban culture rather than simply imported from elsewhere.
