Setting a New Benchmark for Stadium Lighting
DHL Stadium becomes the first venue in Africa and the Southern Hemisphere to achieve FIFA Quality Pro floodlighting certification.
DHL Stadium has reached a remarkable milestone, becoming the first venue in the Southern Hemisphere, and the first in Africa, to achieve FIFA field certification under the prestigious FIFA Quality Programme for Floodlights – FIFA Quality Pro standard.
The achievement marks a significant step forward for sports infrastructure on the continent and reinforces Africa’ s ability to meet global performance standards for professional sporting venues.
Central to this success is the installation of the OMNIBLAST floodlighting solution. Designed to deliver exceptional illumination, OMNIBLAST ensures optimal visibility for players, officials, broadcasters and spectators, while meeting FIFA’ s stringent technical and quality requirements.
The certification process involved rigorous testing to verify lighting performance, uniformity, glare control and compliance with international broadcasting and sporting standards. FIFA
Quality Pro certification confirms that DHL Stadium’ s lighting installation is suitable for top-tier international matches and televised events.
