When Red Bull South Africa found that it was outgrowing its national headquarters at the V & A Waterfront in Cape Town, the company had the opportunity to take over the floor above its existing two-level office in the Waterfront South Wing building and incorporate it into its workspace. Red Bull would thus occupy the entire building over three levels, which opened up new possibilities for an office redesign.
Red Bull awarded turnkey project managers Exéc Innovative Solutions the contract for the fit-out, and Boogertman + Partners was appointed as project architect.
A workplace shaped by place, culture and movement Boogertman + Partners took design cues not only from the office’ s natural and urban surroundings, but also from the activities that Red Bull“ gives wings” to in and around the city, including extreme sports, music, gaming and youth culture. The character of the space is also informed by Red Bull’ s energetic and adventurous spirit, carefully balanced with the need for efficiency and professionalism.
