Urban Context and Demand Stellenbosch faces several urban pressures, including a growing demand for student accommodation, rising transportation costs, and increasingly congested roads and parking infrastructure. Providing accommodation within the town centre allows students and young professionals to live closer to their places of study and work, reducing daily commuting and easing pressure on local roads and parking infrastructure.
Design Approach and Vision Abacus commissioned TV3 Architects and Town Planners to design a contemporary co-living development that capitalises on its prime location in Stellenbosch. From the outset, the project developed in response to a clearly defined client brief. As with the earlier MySpace residences, the design concept centres on fostering a sense of community, wellness, collaboration, and connection among residents.
