This considerate planning continues through to the building ’ s floor plans , which incorporate a dramatic central triple volume atrium and core configuration that ensures that the rental space of the building is optimised and efficiently used , whilst simultaneously , providing adequate spatial flexibility for the building ’ s tenants .
The interior of the Samsung office building has been specifically adapted to showcase Samsung ’ s own electrical products . These clean and professional looking interior spaces are occasionally broken up by the incorporation of colourful , yet tasteful finishes , which help to portray an efficient but enjoyable corporate environment .
Sustainability Measures Following the requirements that were set out for the building , the architects ’ design also carefully considers the sustainability and energy consumption of the building . The building plan has been orientated to face north , so as to make optimal use of the natural lighting that is available to the structure . The triple volume atrium is very effective in allowing as much natural day lighting in as possible , which helps reduce the need for artificial lighting in the interior of the building .
However , where this design consideration is not sufficient enough , LED lighting has been installed to help ensure sustainable efficiency . These installations are further supported by a collection of photovoltaic panels on the roof of the building , which generate 20 % of the building ’ s energy requirements .
