Form and space have been put back at the centre of South African corporate architectural design and building construction with the completion of the 15 Alice Lane Towers project in Sandton Central .
Raising the Bar Zenprop Property Holdings , together with Tiber Projects as co-developers , have commissioned an unusual and exceptional addition to the Sandton skyline .
The project is located at the western edge of the bustling Sandton Central area , next to the Sandton City Shopping Centre . The twin towers , constructed of concrete , glass and aluminium , rise as statuesque architectural markers on the skyline of Johannesburg ’ s north-western suburbs . The architectural form of the towers is unique in South Africa . Their impact and visibility is most clear when seen from the west across the verdant forests of Johannesburg , looking towards the edge of the almost acropolis-like ridge that defines the silhouette of Sandton .
The 24,000m 2 development is now the new address for well known legal firm , Deneys Reitz . Set atop a six storey basement , the two towers rise 17 floors into the Johannesburg sky .
Making the recession work - this building is a statement of faith in the future of Johannesburg
