The 5m fall on the site called for careful consideration of the street aspect of the hospital and the end result is a building that has a strong street presence .
The hospital was built on a strictly managed budget and all elements of the design were carefully reviewed and optimised .
The service intensive nature of the building required extensive and very careful design coordination between all the consultants . The use of advanced Autodesk Revit 3D modelling software , together with the live modelling capability afforded by the shared BIM 360 platform , was indispensable in reducing , identifying and resolving service integration and clash detection .
