PROPOSED , CURRENT AND FUTURE PROJECTS FROM SOUTH AFRICA AND ABROAD
VREDE PLACE , VREDEHOEK
Vrede Place is a unique boutique sectional title residential development in the historic suburb of Vredehoek situated in the Cape Town City Bowl . Unique that it combines the heritage of the area with its superbly renovated existing heritage ‘ Manor House ’ and an exclusive block of 12 high-end apartments . Located on the slopes of Devil ’ s Peak , Vrede Place offers breathtaking vistas that blend the urban skyline with the natural beauty of Cape Town . This was a strategic driver for the building ’ s orientation .
The architectural concept stemmed from the appreciation of its surroundings , drawing inspiration from the movement of Art Deco architecture that characterises Vredehoek . The building ’ s design language is defined by graceful curves and bold lines , paying homage to the rich heritage of Cape Town .
Vrede Place ’ s exterior façade creates a narrative of sleek soffits and contemporary balconies which serves as a modern interpretation of classic design elements . The approach was to interplay form and function by offering residents an integration between indoor and outdoor living . Solid brick bands juxtaposed with transparent steel balconies not only enhance the buildings aesthetic but also maximises panoramic views .
The apartments vary from small studio and one bedroom units to beautifully appointed two bedroom units and culminating in luxurious penthouses each with their own exclusive use rooftop terrace with panoramic views of Table Mountain , Lions Head , Signal Hill and the Cape Town CBD . The interior design focuses on creating natural light-filled internal spaces and uninterrupted views by providing floor-to-ceiling windows . Premium finishes and functional spaces enhance the everyday experiences of luxury and refinement .
At the heart of Vrede Place lies Manor House , a representation of Vredehoek ’ s architectural heritage . Efforts to preserve its
architectural integrity have been unwavering , ensuring that its timeless allure remains intact . The contemporary interior harmonises with tradition elements , offering residents a rare opportunity to immerse themselves in the charm of high-pressed ceilings , stained glass windows , and a traditional verandah .
Not only the ‘ Manor House ’ but the the entire development is supported and commended by Heritage Western Cape , something of which the developers are extremely proud .
Construction is expected to start in the second half of 2024 , completing in mid 2025 .
