As you may have seen , we recently published our first ever Retrospective , with the focus on Retail . Due to Architect and Builder ’ s extensive back catalogue we are able to take a look back at the evolution of architectural design over a number of decades . I was thrilled with the reception that the Retail Retrospective

received and have decided that we will publish another Retrospective in 2024 - this time on Office Buildings . This will be launched in early 2024 .
One sector that has seen a lot of growth over the last few years is student accommodation . The great demand for student accommodation across the country has seen a number of developments completed , with many under construction and in the planning phases . In this issue I feature two student accommodation developments , one over multiple locations in Stellenbosch and another in Pretoria . As you will see from the images these developments are taking student accommodation to the next level , with My Space also exploring a student / professional co-living model which is exciting .
