Following on from the success of our first Retrospective last year , which focused on over two decades of Retail projects , I am pleased to announce that we will be publishing a second one in July this year .

The forthcoming Retrospective will be dedicated to Office projects over a similar period . The curated list of projects showcases the evolution of commercial office design from the early 2000 ’ s to today . We are in the unique position that we are able to select from over four hundred relevant projects , enabling us to compile a Retrospective that will serve as an important record of commercial development and design over the last twenty years .

20 MADWALENI RIVER LODGE Inspired by the region ’ s history and rewilding efforts , the design integrates cultural narratives and harmoniously blends with the natural surroundings .

30 FACULTY OF COMMERCE , LAW AND MANAGEMENT ( CLM ) The new CLM Faculty Administration Building is located on the West Campus of the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg .

40 MOMPATI MALL Mompati Mall is transforming Vryburg in the North West province with its brand-new shopping experience that opened in October 2023 .

46 THE PLETT QUARTER After many years in the planning , and a year of construction , Plettenberg Bay ’ s Main Street is now graced with a new addition in the form of The Plett Quarter .

56 PLUMBLINK HEAD OFFICE Plumblink , SA ’ s largest plumbing retailer , a subsidiary of Bidvest , chose Waterfall City as its preferred location to integrate its head office .
