T EDITORIAL he Western Cape has been in the grip of icy weather, torrential rains, even snow on Table Mountain and gale force winds. The poor unfortunate people who live in shacks or in the low lying areas of the city have been hardest hit, so I must not complain overly much; it has been saddening in the extreme to witness such wholesale natural destruction and hardship so, while it is wonderful that our dams are full, I do hope the weather will become much warmer. The problem of synchronising newly completed buildings with the publication of features on projects has raised its head again. We, as do all reputable publishers, like to be the first or the only magazine to publish articles on such projects, and thus the development, the professionals involved and the advertisers get the benefit of being ‘first out of the blocks.’ I fully understand, however, if the projects Diana Woode concerned are large and of sufficient import, all the magazines will want to feature OUR TEAM them, and the ‘powers that be’ will allow the majority of us to do so, trusting to the different target markets and focuses to highlight the rationale behind us Editor Diana Woode all running these articles.
