Longmeadow Extension 11 - Jewel In Improvon’s Green Crown
each of its new developments, has been
rehabilitated to indigenous vegetation
transversed by a natural water course.
Land was first turned here during the first
quarter of 2012 and a fast-track approach
to the construction saw Kalahari.com/
MIH Africa’s 9,500m2 completed before
December that same year while the
3,200m2 TOG SA facility was ready for
occupation by the end of February 2013.
Improvon Business Development Executive,
Grant Lewington, said, “On the green front,
both tenants shared Improvon’s vision of
a ‘green’ industrial park and committed
to a slightly higher than the market rental
to invest in a more sustainable future.
“To minimise the energy usage, the buildings
are fully insulated where applicable and
we’ve installed energy efficient lighting
and energy efficient air conditioning.
Water-wise, we’re making use of grey water
to flush the toilets and to irrigate, and
also have attenuation areas that provide
supplementary irrigation. We’re also very
proud our construction activities didn’t
disturb the environment we started with in
Extension 11, and we’ve rehabilitated the
small stream on the property and planted
indigenous vegetation to create a park-like
atmosphere for our tenants.” 011 409 9300
