Ground Floor
Where the ground floor punches through to
the first floor slab, we had to deal with a very
different lighting scenario. Here, we only had a
narrow bulkhead along the sides of the mall into
which we needed to install fittings, which were
sufficient to light the entire width of the mall.
The solution was to use internally adjustable
downlighters along the side of the mall, which
were directed in to the centre of the mall.
First Floor
The first floor ceilings are totally different to the
ground floor and are a combination of layers,
curves, skylights and slots. The lower section of
the first floor has a bulkhead similar to the ground
floor and was therefore lit by a combination of
internally adjustable downlighters and cove
lighting. The main mall ceiling then rises from
above this bulkhead into the high level curved
ceiling structure. The series of 3 curves are
