All interior fittings are bespoke and carefully designed around the specific needs of Afrihost 46 There is very strong branding in the design of the building and the interiors, where the building also acts as a billboard for the busy Rivonia Road. During the project, an adjacent portion of land was purchased by Afrihost, which is being used for additional parking and for future expansion. The houses were demolished, but great care was taken to preserve the large, established trees on both sites. An extension to the existing building was also added to the brief, to allow for future expansion. The new office building accommodates the entire head office facility under one roof. All aspects of the business are incorporated, including a call centre, a client services centre, a staff gym, recreational area, staff café and catering kitchen, stockrooms, servers and build rooms in addition to offices for training, server administration, the brand team and directors. The building is staffed 24 hours a day, so consideration was given to night time users too. A total of 270 staff can be accommodated, Afrihost
