motorway, Jan Smuts
Avenue interchange
as well as the existing
KPMG head office
to have the same increased land use rights and
then consolidated into one stand.
This process has now been completed after
five years of negotiations and compliance with
the legal requirements of a public tender.
The Johannesburg Property Company was
an integral part of this process and the result
is evidence of their constructive response
when approached to consider a land assembly
program of this nature.
KPMG Phase II
DESIGN
The Phase I project provides the functional
facilities for the Corporate Head Office. These
comprise an auditorium with 330 seats capable
of expansion to 520 seats with the use of
acoustic partitions (9m in height). These are able
to traverse from the east elevation to close off
the atrium to provide privacy to the expanded
auditorium. The canteen and Wanooka Heritage
buildings provide staff and executive facilities.
