NEWSWORTHY SOUTH AFRICA’S MOST SUBSTANTIAL ARTS AND DESIGN COMPETITION RECENTLY ANNOUNCED ITS TOP DESIGNERS PPC Ltd announced the winners of the inaugural PPC Imaginarium Awards in January. Cementing its position as one of the largest and most exciting promoters and patrons of the arts and design in South Africa, PPC Ltd is a company that has previously been awarded for its innovation and support of the arts. Through the PPC Imaginarium Awards, the aim is to establish the winning designers as leaders in their field. There were an astonishing 477 competition entries throughout the six categories (film, industrial design, fashion, jewellery, architecture and sculpture). The winner in the architecture category was Ayanda Ntsingana (Pictured Above), who won the award for an architectural piece entitled ‘Laingsburg Public Pool’; Ayanda is currently completing his second year towards B-tech in Architecture through Open Architecture in collaboration with Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) He also completed his National Diploma (ND 2011) from CPUT.
