This is a landmark development situated next to the renowned Loftus Versveld Rugby Stadium on the corner of Park and Kirkness Streets, Arcadia

The Loftus Park precinct is destined to be one of the most iconic mixed-use developments, not only in Pretoria, but also Gauteng. This is a landmark development situated next to the renowned Loftus Versveld Rugby Stadium on the corner of Park and Kirkness Streets, Arcadia. Loftus Park enjoys excellent proximity to a vast number of embassies, the Union Buildings, the University of Pretoria, Art Museum as well as the four top schools in Pretoria.

With a Gautrain bus stop at the doorstep of the development, the precinct connects easily to the Hatfield Gautrain Station enabling the precinct visitors and users to travel seamlessly to Centurion, Pretoria CBD, Sandton and OR Tambo International Airport. The precinct is ideally located to ignite the greater node around it.
Heritage Significance Apart from the iconic and historical Loftus Versveld Stadium and the Clydesdale residential node adjacent to the West of Loftus Park, the area is further enriched by the four top schools in Pretoria. Within their own right, these schools boast historical school buildings especially the administration and school hall facilities. These schools, being Pretoria Boys High, Pretoria High School for Girls, Affies Seuns Hoër and Affies Meisies Hoër, supported this development initiative on their doorsteps.
The heritage jewel of the site is the infamous Sin Bin. This unassuming and rather simple building was constructed in 1929 as a Clubhouse for the local tennis club. After the tennis club was relocated to new premises the building stood vacant. During this time the building was not treated kindly and left in a poor state of preservation. Being nearly 60 years old, the building is protected by law and was always part of the brief to be retained.
An interesting fact is that, due to its sterilisation effect on the construction of basements, an application was lodged at the Provincial Heritage Resources Authority of Gauteng to utilise the method of“ deconstruction and reconstruction” in restoring the Clubhouse to its former glory, which was granted.
The building was therefore rebuilt and is currently housing a well-known restaurant.
Further to the Sin Bin building, adjacent is a sculpture known as“ The Spirit of Sport”, being temporarily relocated from the site during the 2010 Soccer World Cup, but will be reinstated in the Piazza of the development.
