SKYBOUND CAPITAL INTERIORS: CONDUIT INTERIOR | PHOTOGRAPHY: ADAM LETCH Skybound Capital is a global wealth management business with a footprint in South Africa, Hong Kong, London, Mauritius, and Bermuda. The Brief Skybound initially approached Conduit Interior to reconfigure and refurbish a part of its existing office. However, as construction on the project was about to commence, one of the neighbouring tenants moved out and consequently a whole wing of the building became available. Skybound made a decision to take on this vacant wing of the building and expand its existing office space into it. This opened up the opportunity for Conduit Interior to re-imagine Skybound’s interior brand, while still respecting the design of their existing offices so as not to make this wing look like it belonged to a different company altogether. The design was informed by existing materials such as dark wenge veneer, but freshened up by interspersing this with a lot of white and ensuring that natural light and access to views took top priority. As an investment company that focuses on close, personal relationships with its clients, Skybound Capital wanted an office space that embodies an open-door ethos, encouraging clients to pay a visit and enjoy the warmth and expertise that they have to offer. A diverse palette of collaboration areas were required for client-analyst interactions, as well as internal interactions, encouraging employees of all levels to feed off each other’s intellectual capital. 62 skybound Capital
