egent Lighting Solutions is part of
Wahl Industries, a South African
based manufacturing company which
currently employs 240 dedicated staff
members who all contribute to our success
and the understanding of the unique African
environment in which we work.

Sustainable Investment
We have invested in a Solar system as an
alternative energy source at our premises.
The 300 kWp roof top grid-tied photovoltaic
solar system which consists of a 1,200
250W Polycrystaline panel, will generate
approximately 541,328 kWh per annum
reducing our carbon emissions.
Our in-house Goniometer, which allows
us to independently photometer our
luminaires to ensure the correct lamp or LED
diode positioning and thus ensuring
maximum efficiency. This is a critical
element in the design process of our fittings
as it allows us to ensure lighting performance
while retaining the design integrity.
In-House Design
Regent takes a complete systems approach
to identifying intelligent lighting solutions for
designers and consultants who are seeking
cost effective high quality products that are
manufactured in Africa.
We have an in-house design team
consisting of four industrial designers who
work closely with the sales team and
architects, engineers and lighting designers
throughout the concept development and
design stages; interpreting sketches,
brainstorming, drawing up concepts and
creating 3D renderings of the product, to
ensure design specifications are achieved.
The team also consists of a Lighting
Designer who uses CAD software to meet
the most demanding customers needs and
provide lighting design solutions for exterior
and interior projects.
Developing light fittings to compliment
the architectural design of buildings,
Regent’s product range is continually
evolving to meet the technical and design
demands of our market. Embracing new
technology, we work closely with leading
component manufacturers to develop
luminaires that accommodate the latest

technology in energy efficiency and controls.
Designing and developing our own products
in-house allows us the flexibility to develop
customised lighting solutions.
LED Development
Regent prides itself on being at the forefront
of technology and incorporating the use of
LED’s by adapting our existing products and
designing new products. Regent will
continue to work closely with the top LED
suppliers to develop products that meet the
exacting standards and innovation that we
are known for.
We are expanding rapidly into the interior
lighting market and have developed an
extensive range of LED Linear lighting products and are currently developing lighting
systems for internal retail applications.
