Responding to the Site’ s Urban Duality Century Boulevard curves past the eastern edge of the site with high traffic visibility, while the newly redeveloped Ratanga Park unfolds to the west as a vibrant green lung in Century City’ s urban fabric. These contrasting conditions demanded a design response that could mediate between movement and stillness, enclosure and openness.
Rather than adopt a conventional rectilinear footprint, the design team responded with a circular built form. This singular move achieves several outcomes simultaneously. First it affords panoramic views for all apartments, ensuring that no unit is disadvantaged in terms of natural light or outlook.
