The Daily , a dynamic purpose-built aparthotel coming soon to Green Point , Cape Town , is setting out to put the ‘ hotel ’ back in aparthotel living . The mix of 87 apartments is as thorough as the list of in-house amenities and facilities . From the ground to the fifth floor you ’ ll find studio , one and two-bed apartments with the sixth and seventh floors dedicated to a range of two and three-bed duplex penthouses .
Located in the heart of Green Point and set back from Somerset Road in a quiet node , The Daily provides residents with a peaceful setting a stone ' s throw from the V & A Waterfront , Cape Town Stadium , and Green Point Park . “ Our vision is to create an exceptional residential and hybrid hospitality experience in a prime location . By seamlessly integrating premium living with unparalleled hospitality , we cater to discerning homeowners , investors and the dynamic tourism market alike . We are committed to challenging conventions and pioneering innovation in the hybrid space , offering a fusion of luxury , sustainability and exemplary service . Our unique , forward-thinking brand bridges the gap between residential real estate and 5-star hospitality , redefining the standards of modern living and experiential accommodation ,” says Simon Bridges of Elemental .
The purpose-built aparthotel offers the comfort of home with the luxury of a premium hotel . Inhouse services like daily housekeeping , a 24-hour concierge and valet , through to pantry shopping , laundry and babysitting services , make living at The Daily an unforgettable experience . The development includes two rooftop swimming pools with entertainment decks , a restaurant , a coffee bar , cafe and wine bar , premium gym with sauna , guest lounge , dedicated meeting rooms and a co-working space .
Bone Studio , who have been integral in developing the interior design schemes and communal spaces at The Daily , say their interiors exhibit a fearless approach to design , blending vivid colours , classic patterns , intriguing textures , and unexpected juxtapositions . It ’ s not meek and mild . It ’ s a challenge to conventional aparthotel design norms but remains welcoming and real with a sense of character and charm .
Darryl Croome Architects has created an architecturally dynamic design that enhances the unique shape of the development site which is bordered by three roads and no adjoining properties . The urban design aspects were carefully researched , so as to enable a comfortable fit with the residential character of the area , whilst giving rise to the architecture that is distinctive and reminiscent of the maritime context synonymous with the Cape . Views of Signal Hill and the Cape Town Stadium are enjoyed from landscaped terraces and roof top entertainment areas . Trees and landscaped verges with streetside sunken wine bar are all highly visible when approaching from Somerset Road . Ultimately , the marriage between sophisticated , timeless elegance and bold architecture is what sets this building apart from its competitors .
The building ’ s design prioritises green living and aims to achieve an EDGE certification through green building practices and the use of green features such as a hybrid solar PV / generator system , rainwater harvesting , low E performance glass and energy-efficient fittings and fixtures .
