DHKI – A NEW ERA FOR INTERIOR DESIGN SYNERGY
In early 2021 , in recognition of their longstanding relationship , the synergy in their work and potential for how each could complement the another , Peg Design and dhk Architects started a conversation .
This discourse ultimately led to the formation in 2022 of dhki – dhk Interior Design , the result of a merger between dhk Architects and Peg Design . A standalone company operating as its own ( Pty ) Ltd , with dhk as major shareholders , it will work closely with dhk Architects .
Lisa Bridgeford and Francois Steyn will head up this new iteration , supported by a team made up of former Peg and dhk employees . This exciting new venture came as a result of both parties recognising that together they could form a partnership through which significant change could be effected , progress made , and new design principles developed . For some time dhk had consistently found itself in need of interior design expertise to complement its services , and as such , the formation of dhki answered multiple needs , in the form of each company ’ s business imperatives , but also in terms of servicing existing and prospective clients better and more holistically .
