Touchstone Lighting is proud to
present a new collection of large
flame cut lighting globes created
by
designers
Olgoj
Chorchoj,
Michal Fronek and Jan Nemecek
in
cooperation
with
Bomma.
These giant hand-blown crystal
domes were originally created
to house Tim Burton’s animated
movie characters at his Prague
exhibition. The light followed this
theme and became an instant
Magnolia Social Dining Lounge has opened its doors at the Erinvale Estate Hotel & Spa,
adding a third restaurant offering to this prestigious property. With bespoke custom-made
pieces and soft ambient lighting, Interior Designer, Clinton Savage, has created an interior
that promises to offer diners a visual sensory delight.
Clinton Savage worked closely with architect, Arnold Shewan and Landscaper, Alan
Dawson to ensure a functional flow for guests by blending the creative with the historic
buildings and the natural environment. Emerald green and burnt orange are the focal palettes
of the interior, and combined with the bespoke lighting and hexagonal brass fittings they
work together resulting in an informal social dining club – a beautifully redesigned space
with a bold and unique identity.
Inspired by the Epicurus quote: “We should look for someone to eat and drink with
before looking for something to eat and drink”, the idea of Magnolia Social Dining Lounge
was to revolutionise dining by creating a comfortable and inviting space for diners to interact
with others.

Each piece is entirely hand-blown
weighing up to 30kg and available
in 3 different sizes.
This unique collection is created
using
glassmakers’
skills
and
strength combined with the purity
and clarity of the crystal. The
collection consists of three sizes
of crystal domes in the form of
droplets with dimensions of 70cm,
50cm and 45cm. The lights may
be combined with three types of
mountings: polished nickel, copper
coating and black matte effect.
Sizes are not precise as each piece
is hand-blown without the use of
moulds. The larger globes weigh
over 20kg and the smaller ones
approximately 16kg.
