Situated on the corner of Bradford and Nicol Roads opposite Eastgate Shopping Centre, the brief from the client, Fatasy Developers, was for AMA Architects to design a cutting-edge apartment building that would be the pinnacle of architecture in this established suburb. Offering panoramic views, the building accommodates 200 contemporary residential apartments and various amenities such as a clubhouse, pool & deck, gymnasium and a concierge. Concept The name ‘Infinité’ is derived from the shape of the building on the North and South elevations, where the curvaceous façade loops from the core of the building creating the classic ‘Infinity’ symbol. The plan of the building resembles a butterfly and the building’s presence uses a dynamic flow of line to shape its silhouette. The building has a height of 43.5m from the ground floor to the top of the roof terrace roof, is 115m wide and 30m in depth, with an extra 9m for deck and pool on the first floor. Materials Materials used include off-shutter concrete, EPS (Expanded Polystyrene), textured & painted walls, large glazed openings and expressive steel elements. Composite timber Infinité
