will generally cost less than a multi-ply
board because there is less work involved
in its construction. The more layers the
board has, the more stable your floor
is likely to be. A 3-ply multilayer board
is more likely to risk damage through
moisture and temperature fluctuations
than a multi-ply board. If you have under
floor heating, because of the direct
influence of the heat, multi-ply boards are
generally recommended.
CHARACTERISTICS
Wear Layer
The wear layer is a great indicator of
quality in engineered boards – the thicker
the wear layer, the more times you can
re-sand. All Oggie engineered boards have
a wear layer of 3-6mm.
Depth
Oggie offer floors from 10mm up to 20mm
in thickness. Make sure you compare like-
for-like prices to save replacement costs.
Grade
Oggie have two wood styles Living and
Rustic. There are significant differences
between these styles which will affect the
look of your project.
Living
Clean, uniform appearance with minimal
knots, sap and minor colour variation.
Rustic
Presents natural characteristics with many
knots and minor colour variation.
