recently completed the installation of 3 x Boon Edam Tourniket revolving door installations in time for the
opening of the prestigious Mall of Africa, in Midrand north of Johannesburg.
T
he FROST team was prominent
during the entrance design
phase of the project and worked
tirelessly and closely with the designers,
MDS Architecture, to ensure the client
received the perfect entrance solution
for their requirements. This installation
adds to the already long list of major
retail centres that have utilised the Frost
International and Boon Edam revolving
door combination- in fact 95% of all major
retail centres across South Africa have
Boon Edam revolving doors installed at
their entrances.
Coming out of Jack Frost Cape
Town (est.1970), a well respected and
established name in the construction

The Frost team have supplied and
installed their uniquely South African
designed and developed Station
Interface System (SIS) to both the Cape
Towm MyCiti and Tshwane A Re Yeng
BRT’s currently in operation, enabling
a complete solution to their clients,
to manage and monitor the various
components linking the Bus Rapid
Transit (BRT) stations to the relevant
buses. As this successful application
has become well known amongst the
consultants and clients, Frost International
are proud to announce the receipt of the
order for the 1st phase of the Ekurhuleni
BRT currently under construction.
The FROST AUTOMATIC sliding door
operator is the only automatic sliding door
on the market that is designed, developed
and manufactured by a South African
company. Creating local employment
the company will look to the export
opportunities that exist in the market,
and have already supplied operators to
the UK, Mauritius, Botswana, Zimbabwe,
Uganda, Nigeria and Namibian markets“but we need to expand on this with the
current exchange rate conditions that
favour this- so an expansive drive in 2017
will commence to offer the rest of Africa,
via distribution agreements, the FROST
AUTOMATIC,” explains Sales & Marketing
consultant Graeme Stevens. “Already
supplying and installing throughout Africa
will make this expansive programme a
little easier, but we need to have a sales
presence like we have in Zambia and
Zimbabwe, instead of doing the one-off
installations that we currently attend
to elsewhere.”
