Dr Nidya Shanthini
Manokara
Dramaturg
Dr Nidya Shanthini Manokara (PhD NUS) is
an independent practitioner-researcher. Her
primary research interests include evolving
Asian performance practices and changing
affective registers.
She is a trained bharatanatyam practitioner
and has completed a Dramaturgy
Apprenticeship with Centre 42.
Shanthini teaches a range of courses at
National University of Singapore, Nanyang
Technological University and LASALLE College
of the Arts. She is also an External Assessor
for dance (FY2016-2018) with National Arts
Council.
