Drive and control technologies specialist , SEW-Eurodrive , recently moved into its new head office and Warehouse in Aeroton , Johannesburg . The new facility is expected to accommodate the company ’ s growth , with its old head office in Johannesburg now too small to support this . The new facility will serve as both an assembly plant and the new South African headquarters .
The site is located within the Aeroton Business Park which is situated just off the confluence of the N1 , N12 and M1 highways . Its elevated position affords the building excellent exposure from both the N1 as well as the N12 highways .
The relationship between the Developers , RPP Developments and SEW-Eurodrive started way back in 2012 when SEW-Eurodrive bought their first piece of land in Aeroton Business Park . They later sold that piece of land and purchased a bigger 5ha erf for the development of their new facility . The new facility has a total rentable area of 26,015m 2 , consisting of : 22,211m 2 Warehouse area including staff facilities 362m 2 Canteen 1,367m 2 Ground level offices 1,024m 2 First level offices 1,008m 2 Second level offices
