ROOFING, CLADDING & FACADES
Initiatives such as the Code for Construction Product Information( CCPI) are helping to raise standards across the sector, giving specifiers greater assurance that the information they rely on has been independently assessed. Valcan has undertaken CCPI assessments of its company management system and its VitraDual ® and Ceramapanel ® product information, reflecting a wider commitment to transparency in how our systems are described and documented.
Of course, good information is only part of the picture. Specifiers also need access to people who can explain what that information means in practice: how a system performs within a particular build-up, how it interfaces with insulation, cavity barriers and fixings, and what needs to be considered on site to ensure the as-built façade reflects the design intent.
A more collaborative future
Many of the challenges facing the construction industry cannot be solved by a single organisation working alone.
Whether discussing fire safety, façade remediation, Gateway requirements, sustainability or technical performance, meaningful progress depends on collaboration between all those involved in the design, specification and delivery process.
Architects, specifiers, engineers, contractors, manufacturers, insurers and building owners each bring a unique perspective. Creating opportunities for those perspectives to be shared is becoming increasingly valuable.
When lessons learned from live projects can be discussed openly, the industry benefits.
When technical expertise is made accessible, better decisions can be made.
When challenges are debated honestly, confidence grows.
Creating a Forum for Practical Knowledge Sharing
With this in mind, Valcan launched the Façade HUB in 2025 to create an environment where knowledge sharing, technical insight and practical discussion take centre stage.
• Sustainability and new materials
• Digital tools and innovation
• Supply chain collaboration
• Real project challenges and lessons learned
Importantly, the focus is not on product promotion.
Instead, the event is designed to provide practical knowledge, encourage open discussion and give delegates insights they can take back into their own projects. The programme brings together presentations, panel discussions and informal networking, giving architects, specifiers, contractors and consultants the chance to put questions directly to people working on these issues every day.
Delegates will also hear from a range of voices across the supply chain, from technical specialists and consultants to insurers and industry publications, ensuring the conversation reflects the realities of designing, insuring and delivering façades today.
Looking ahead As the industry continues its journey towards greater transparency, competency and accountability, the importance of trusted information has never been greater.
Building confidence in façades is not the responsibility of any single organisation. It is something that must be achieved collectively through collaboration, communication and the sharing of knowledge across the entire supply chain.
Events such as Façade HUB provide an opportunity to continue that conversation, challenge perspectives and contribute to a safer, more informed and more confident façade sector.
Façade HUB 2027 takes place on Thursday 18 February 2027 at The Building Centre, London.
We would like to thank our event sponsors, Siderise, Cohort Insurance, Housing Association Magazine and RCI Magazine, for their support in helping to bring Façade HUB 2027 to life.

Returning to The Building Centre in London for a third year, Façade HUB 2027 will bring together professionals from across the façade sector under the theme:
Building confidence in façades.
The event will explore many of the topics currently shaping the industry, including:
• Compliance and building safety
• Fire safety and regulation
• Testing and technical performance
• Product information and transparency
