PYROGUARD EXPANDS FIRE-RATED FAÇADE PORTFOLIO WITH NEW SPANDREL PANEL RANGE
Pyroguard, the world’ s leading independent provider of fire safety glass solutions, has launched a new range of spandrel panels, extending its portfolio of highperformance façade glazing products and giving the UK projects market access to a more comprehensive fire-rated façade offering from a single supplier.
Designed to meet the changing needs of architects, façade consultants, contractors and specialist engineers, the new range provides an A2 reaction-to-fire rated solution for projects where a fully integrated fire-rated glass and spandrel panel façade system is required. The launch of the new range offers greater flexibility for façade designers, allowing for coordinated aesthetic and performance requirements.
Manufactured in the UK, the spandrel panels are available as single gel-filled laminates or as DGU( double glazed units)‘ shadow box’ style for enhanced aesthetics. They are available in three standard colours: white,( anthracite) grey and black, with other RAL colours available on request and they can also incorporate Low-E glass technology to support improved thermal performance requirements.

ADVANCED UNVEILS SMARTER FIRE SYSTEM TESTING WITH ADVANCEDLIVE
Advanced has launched Smart Walk Test, a new feature within AdvancedLive, the smart management platform available on MxPro 5 Gen-2 fire panels. Designed to support the testing and record-keeping requirements highlighted in the latest revision of BS 5839- 1:2025, Smart Walk Test simplifies routine fire system testing and helps organisations demonstrate that testing has taken place.
Although facilities teams and maintenance contractors are both responsible for testing fire systems, their requirements are very different. Smart Walk Test has therefore been designed around two distinct testing modes: weekly testing for facilities teams and annual testing and maintenance activities for maintenance contractors.
