THORN AND ZUMTOBEL ANNOUNCE SPONSORSHIP OF THE 25TH SERPENTINE PAVILION BY LANZA ATELIER
Designed by Mexico City-based practice LANZA atelier, founded by Isabel Abascal and Alessandro Arienzo, this year’ s Pavilion marks the programme’ s 25th anniversary.
Titled a serpentine, the Pavilion draws inspiration from the
Serpentine Pavilion 2026 crinkle-crankle wall, a modest a serpentine, designed by but distinctive feature of Isabel Abascal and Alessandro

Courtesy Serpentine. movement, permeability and collective experience at the centre of the visitor journey, with curving brick columns guiding people through the space and offering moments of pause, views through to the surrounding gardens, and a sense of gradual discovery between light and shadow.
Lighting has been carefully integrated to support this experience. Thorn’ s linear Mystrid Flex luminaires softly illuminate the translucent roof structure after dark, while discreet Caelon spotlights provide emergency lighting and support the café bar area. Around the Pavilion exterior, Cesar Stroll bollards offer gentle wayfinding through the landscape, with all luminaires specified at 2700K to create a calm, welcoming atmosphere.
