Already widely specified for flooring applications and roofspace‘ protected zones’, FIREFLY ® FB180 ablative batts are now being used to provide fire compartmentation beneath raised access floors.

These floors conceal power, data and other services, creating voids where fire and smoke can spread unseen. The FIREFLY ® FB180 Raised Access Floor System addresses this risk by forming a protected cavity beneath the floor while maintaining the compartment line.
Independently tested to BS EN 1366-4 and classified to EN 13501-2, the system delivers up to four hours’ integrity and two hours’ insulation, depending on the build-up. It has been assessed with steel encapsulated and timber-based panels, protecting voids up to 600mm deep while allowing controlled service penetrations.
