ARCHITECTURAL FOCUS
The firm worked with hotel staff during the process. Input from operations teams shaped features like adjustable lighting in event rooms. Ventilation systems were updated to improve air quality while reducing energy use. These changes align with standards for sustainable building practices.
“ This project builds on our experience at the site,” said Wayne Chan, founder and design director of W Interiors.“ It focuses on practical spaces that reflect the area’ s character and support daily hotel functions.”
Location and context
The Harbourview Hotel sits in Wanchai, a district known for its mix of commercial activity and cultural landmarks. The redesign positions the hotel to serve visitors arriving for conferences or events. Accessibility to transport links was considered in path designs within the building.
Completion of the project occurred over several months, with final installations in early 2025. Guests can now use the updated spaces, which include refreshed bathrooms with water-efficient fixtures. Public reviews of the changes will appear in the coming weeks through hotel channels.
This initiative demonstrates W Interiors’ method of adapting designs to existing structures. By reusing elements from prior phases, the firm reduced material
