The Sash Window Workshop specialise in manufacturing and installing timber windows and doors , designed to improve energy efficiency while retaining the traditional character .
The company were contacted by an architect looking to upgrade the timber windows in a Victorian property in London . The new windows needed to be energy efficient , and the architect mentioned that they would prefer new sashes , rather than complete new windows .
The Sash Window Workshop ’ s sales surveyor met the architect on site to discuss the requirements in more detail and to inspect the windows . The window frames were still in a good condition , so a quotation was provided for new sashes .
The customer decided to proceed , and The Sash Window Workshop manufactured and installed four pairs of new sashes into the existing window frames .
Excellent attention to detail was required when replacing the sashes to ensure that they fitted smoothly into the existing window frames and , upon completion , the homeowner commented that ‘ everything went smoothly and it ’ s all looking great ’.
