STRAIGHT REVEAL ? CHECKED REVEAL ? TURN THE CAVICLOSER
The Type V Cavicloser from Cavity Trays of Yeovil consists of a moulded profile casing within which is a thermal insulation core . Supplied with its own securing ties , the closer is delivered with its faceplate flat , ready for immediate building into a straight reveal . However , the flat faceplate also incorporates a hinged section , permitting that part of it to be turned 90 degrees . By so doing , it is transformed into a Cavicloser suitable for a checked reveal . The turned section ends up lying against the inner ( cavity ) face of the outside skin .
In this position , it acts as a separation barrier between wet outside skin and window frame .

For the past six years , West Fraser ( formerly Norbord ), has partnered with RIBA Journal to hold an annual competition that challenges architects to use the industry ’ s most popular OSB brand , SterlingOSB Zero . Panasonic Air-to-Water Aquarea Heat Pumps are providing energy efficient heating and hot water to the Wicklow Hospice in Ireland . Consultants , J V Tierney & Co and main mechanical contractors Quinn Downes Ltd , created a design for a low carbon heating system to service the facilities of this new hospice . The solution , featuring a Panasonic Aquarea H Series T-Cap system delivers a low environmental impact , requires minimal maintenance , and is highly energy efficient and yet cost-effective . Base Engineering Ltd specified and installed six Aquarea H Series T-Cap 16kW units along with a Panasonic Cascade Controller to provide underfloor heating to 2022m2 of floor space to the new building .
