A HILLTOP RETREAT : THE WINDERMERE HOUSE PROJECT WITH HAVWOODS
Nestled in the hilly landscapes of Cumbria is the charming Windermere House project . Originally a characterful Lake District property , the building underwent an extensive refurbishment using Havwoods ’ warm and natural Venture Plank Cachira wood flooring . Exuding contemporary character with rustic elements , the property was transformed into a bespoke and on-trend family home .
The original house had small dark rooms , which have now been completely updated to create an open-plan bright , light and minimalist home that flows seamlessly from one room to the next .
Used across all of the areas of the building , Cachira was chosen for its light and smooth finish that is also compatible with underfloor heating . The board features a durable surface that is sanded and varnished with a strong Valour UV oiled coating for extra durability , delivering the perfect surface for any lived-in home .
Sitting beautifully within this property , the soothing surface offsets exquisitely against soft furnishings and architectural structures . Dark contrasting accessories have been used throughout to add depth alongside textural finishes to reflect the surrounding scenic countryside location .
With the help of Havwoods , this interior has been beautifully enhanced to help maximise the sense of lightness in the home whilst providing the perfect canvas for contemporary furnishings .
