More recently, we have extended this innovative design to
the LDD-V100, a door damper capable of holding ultra-
heavy interior doors weighing up to 100kg. When paired
with our HES concealed hinges, the LDD-V100 forms part
of a unique solution - impeccable soft close control for
interior doors with no components visible in the closed
position.
Pristine appearance
The LDD range underlines how our design values reach
beyond straightforward functionality. We understand that,
to our customers in the interior design and architecture
trade, in furniture manufacture and in industrial equipment
supply, appearances matter. In maximising the choices
available to our customers, we are therefore always
thinking about how we can create components that look
as great as they work.
Push-to-open is a concept that delivers simplicity
combined with a minimalist contemporary aesthetic. Our
so-called ‘touch latches’ require no handle, with a light
push to the door itself all that is required to open and close.
While there is nothing wrong with handles and pulls per se
- and we manufacture and sell an extensive range of them,
with a heavy emphasis on premium quality design - not
needing a handle at all again adds to the options available.
We supply touch latches in two types, magnetic and non-
magnetic. Our magnetic types provide strong, durable
hold, passing up to 50,000 open/close cycle tests. The
ML-ZN80, a heavy-duty version designed for use on full
length cabinet doors, is the only product available on the
market that can provide push-to-open functionality for the
kind of heavyweight doors found on walk-in closets and
concealed partitions.
Our non-magnetic touch latches use a simple catch
mechanism on the counter plate to hold a closed door
in place. Lighter in weight and requiring a smaller push
force to activate than magnetic equivalents, they are
ideal for small to medium sized cabinets. The ESN-195
mini touch latch, which weighs just over 2g, provides a
strong retaining force that belies its size and is ideal for
use on small flaps such as bin lids where durable hold is
still required.
Premium function married with flawless
form - that’s the Sugatsune way.
