REYNAERS PARTNERS WITH THE BIRMINGHAM ARCHITECTURAL ASSOCIATION TO PROMOTE LOCAL ECO-BUILDING In a bid to support the development of more eco-friendly buildings in Birmingham and local architects, Reynaers Aluminium Ltd (Reynaers) has teamed up with The Birmingham Architectural Association (BAA), in a year-long sponsorship which will see the company become a ‘Friend of the BAA’ until late 2020. The BAA, founded in 1874, represents people in the local area who have an interest in architecture. Run by a community of people from a variety of practices based in the city, their aim is to promote, support and share knowledge through their community. David Lomax, Consult Project Manager at Reynaers, comments: “It’s imperative as an industry leader that we connect with our customers and are aware of the industry issues they face. Our partnership with the BAA will provide us with an opportunity to engage with the local architectural community, support them and share our expert knowledge. “Drawing on our slogan ‘together is better,’ we are keen to build deeper relationships with local businesses, not only being a supplier, but also a valuable partner— for Birmingham’s architects, fabricators, project developers, investors and end users. Our core values are innovation, excellence, loyalty and respect and our aim is to demonstrate these through our partnership with the BAA.” Reynaers has long been championing the eco-friendly benefits of aluminium in construction; the recycling of aluminium scrap currently saves around 80 million tons of greenhouse gas emissions each year, the equivalent of removing 15 million cars from the world’s roads. Reynaers has recently invested in a new £6 million UK headquarters based in Hollymoor Way, Northfield. The award-winning business has been designing cutting-edge glazing solutions for over 50 years, supplying sustainable aluminium solutions for windows, doors, curtain walling, sliding systems, sun screening and conservatories for some of the world’s most iconic buildings. “We are extremely excited for the new year ahead with support from our new friend Reynaers. Reynaers; a Birmingahm based aluminium systems supplier supporting the local construction and architecture industry in the West Midlands.”  Marina Strotz Birmingham Architectural Association President.
