FRESH DESIGNS FOR A NEW DECADE
As a new decade begins expect to see enthusiastic exhibitors at the
2020 January Furniture Show (JFS) as they launch 1000’s of new
products at the 4-day trade show.
Held at Birmingham’s NEC, JFS is the UK’s largest furniture and
interiors trade event and in 2020 it commences on 19th January.
Encompassing everything from small interior accessories to grand
corner sofas it attracts over 21,000 retail, design and contract
buyers each year.
Building on successful show developments from JFS 2019, the
2020 iteration will feature an extended BEDS at JFS sector with
more bed companies introducing their latest beds, mattresses and
sleep accessories. Major brands including Silentnight, Sealy and
Millbrook are among those who will show their newest models.
LIGHT at JFS will also see new lighting companies deliver both
internal and external lighting of every kind, from simple lamps
to extravagant chandeliers. Searchlight, Girard Sudron and Impex
Russell are just a few of the notable brands revealing their latest
lighting designs.
Exclusive high-end European cabinet and upholstery is always a
must-see at JFS and in 2020 Hall 2 will deliver prestigious brands
from a great number of European countries including Denmark, Italy
and The Netherlands. Ego Italiano, Skovby and Hartmann are just
some of the brands giving visitors a treat with their inventive and
beautifully crafted furniture.
UK manufacturers and suppliers will abound throughout the 5 halls
of the show with household names including Duresta, G Plan and
Ercol showing the abundant design flair and manufacturing skills
within the British Isles. Reclaimed and mixed materials will feature
heavily in the new living, dining and bedroom collections. Up-to-
the-minute cabinet designs in marble, metal and glass – often mixed
with wood, will complement the newest models in upholstery.
Interior furnishings are a JFS highlight with inventive new collections
capturing attention, companies including Gallery Direct, Kelston
House and Libra release their comprehensive new collections for
2020 and JFS – fantastical mirrors, vibrant art, and modern tableware
will all be on show in a rich patina of colours and materials.
