SELF-SERVICE LOCKER SUCCESS GOES GLOBAL More and more architects are incorporating self-service lockers into their building plans. With offices and education establishments wanting to make space more agile and flexible, LapSafe ®® self- service device loan lockers are ideal. simultaneously in the fastest possible time. The power management system incorporates three areas of protection, soft-start, surge and residual voltage; these provide the highest level of protection for the user, their equipment and electrical circuits. Devices such as laptops, tablets, mobile phones or personal locker space with power can be a nightmare to manage. The LapSafe ® Diplomat™ LMS self-service solution gives users the opportunity to borrow a device 24 hours a day even with no staff present. More than half of UK Universities are now offering self-service device loans to their students with the Diplomat™LMS, and LapSafe ® is looking to replicate that success worldwide. The UK-based company markets its products worldwide and has now set its sights on Australia and New Zealand, where it has already installed the Diplomat™LMS self-service loan lockers at multiple sites, as Denise Crouch, Head of Sales & Marketing explains. LapSafe ® promotes and sells its laptop and tablet cabinets globally and has customers in the UK, The Netherlands, Iceland, Spain, France, Belgium, Sweden, Middle East, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Its largest market to date is the UK, with just over 60% of UK universities are currently using LapSafe ® ’s self-service locker range. “We have sold in excess of 10,000 trolleys over the years and this is still growing,” Denise points out. “Our largest market place is currently Education but self-service device loans are becoming increasingly popular with the corporate sector. We already have our solutions installed in a number of large corporate organisations.” LapSafe ® was founded in 2003 but the first ever LapSafe ®® was designed and manufactured in the year 2000; the company prides itself on being the original inventor of the laptop storage and recharging trolley. “Since then, some have tried to copy the concept but no one has been as successful in providing the ultra-safe power management solution that fits into LapSafe ® ’s product range, ensuring that the unit can recharge up to 40 laptops, 60 tablets in one cabinet without tripping fuses – some actually break electrical regulations,” says Denise. “No one else offers the Education Sector such flexible and upgradeable solutions. We are really proud of what we have achieved and determined to protect our brand.” “We have solutions that can help manage the deployment of IT to new starters, quickly manage break/fix or replenishment of devices via our self-service lockers. This makes our solutions popular with IT Services for helping speed up their service level agreements or managing multiple devices easily.” She highlights their unique patented power management technology, which ensures that all devices are charged For more information on the LapSafe ® ™ range visit www.LapSafe.com.
