Monitor Audio’s new AWC all-weather speakers are tough enough
to perform in the most demanding of environments. Wherever they
are positioned – in the garden, by the pool or on a boat – they will
deliver an extraordinary audio performance.
Monitor Audio have used their forty years of loudspeaker design
know-how to ensure that the new AWC ‘all-weather’ speakers are
robust enough to perform in the most extreme conditions. The
front of each speaker is impervious to water and salt spray and
the rear is encased to resist the ingress of fine particles. All of the
materials used in their construction are designed to operate and
to be stable throughout an extremely wide temperature range,
making them the ideal speakers for outdoor use.
The striking black speaker cone features Monitor Audio’s renowned
C-Cam* technology and produces the highest levels of audio
performance. EPDM** barriers are applied to ensure a waterproof seal
is made between the speaker and the wall or ceiling. The low profile
(trimless) grilles are made from high-grade stainless steel and fixed
using special non-corroding rare earth magnets, providing simple
installation and a clean appearance. Gold plated push terminals,
protected by a silicon rubber guard, enable a quick connection.
High frequency level controls are located next to the speaker
terminals to allow adjustment in a wide range of situations - from
outdoor open spaces, to tiled pool areas. Monitor Audio’s innovative
Tri-Grip® fixing system is easier to install than conventional
clamping schemes and provides three times the surface area than
a conventional fixing plus a better surface seal – this maximises
bass response and mid-range clarity of the speaker.
There are four models in the range and two driver sizes - 6.5” and
8” – both complemented by ‘single speaker stereo’ (T2) variants.

Single speaker stereo options can be
used where the room configuration
